Thinking Back

Yes... our plants grew and grew. Some produced fruit, while other did not. Thankfully our tomato plants kept us from having to purchase store bought tomatoes. Not only did our tomato plants grow over six feet tall, they also gave fruit all the way until October. We were blown away by how very big the plants grew to be and how very much they produced!

As far as the zucchini plants... well they never quite could figure out how to produce fruit. So despite our efforts, we did end up buying most of our squash from the Farmer's Market last summer.

Our green pepper plants also never gave fruit, but our jalapeno pepper plants gave a ton of pepper throughout the summer and fall. We still have some frozen waiting to be used!

Our basil plant expanded when we planted it into the garden plot. I think I should have moved it over earlier, but either way I'm thankful it produced a lot. Although we did not use much of it, I was excited to see it grow!

Time has passed and it was quite the journey to keep the plants watered daily, especially in the heat of the summer. But I am thankful we continued on the journey and now we are looking towards another season!
